Marital Counselling and Mediation By Abdul Haqq
The importance of good counselling and mediation:
Marriage is the bedrock of all Islamic institutions and necessary for decent and harmonious existence. The failure of a marriage has consequences for the emotional health and financial stability of all parties concerned, especially children. We urge Muslims to seek out good counselling services to gain the help they need.
Counsellors with decades of expertise and qualifications are entitled to charge for their services and should be respected for the services they provide while earning a halal income. Please do not feel it is acceptable to spend thousands on holidays, clothes, jewellery and so forth, but not a few hundred for important, life-saving advice that could Insha Allah transform your marriage.
We have a counselling department that can help with any query you have regarding the following:
Counselling
Marriage counselling helps couples recognise and resolve conflicts in accordance with the Holy Qur’an and the authentic Sunnah.
Substance Abuse
Drugs Counselling helps people overcome addictions to intoxicants and drugs, by seeking the help of Allah swt and obeying His messenger Muhammad (saw). You must consult your GP as part of your treatment. We will contact outside agencies if we deem it necessary.
Inter-generational conflicts
Matrimonial Disputes
Anger management
Anger management is the process of learning to recognise signs that you’re becoming angry, and taking action to calm down and deal with the situation in a way that is most pleasing to Allah swt.
Conflict Resolution
Conflict resolution is a way for two or more parties to find an Islamic solution to a disagreement among them.
Mediation
Mediation is the attempt to settle a dispute through a neutral third party. All settlements are based upon Islamic principles.
