Staff Abuse
We maintain a strict policy regarding abusive behaviour towards our staff.
We understand that many of those who contact us may be experiencing difficult circumstances, and at times may express their frustration. Our staff are patient, understanding, and committed to listening with care.
However, under no circumstances will we tolerate the use of foul or abusive language, nor any form of physical aggression.
Client and Staff Conduct Guidelines
If at any point someone uses foul language on the phone, the ISC staff will ask you to call back later once you have had a chance to calm down and will gently put the phone down.
If at any point foul or abusive language is used during a phone call, our staff will ask you to call back once you have had an opportunity to calm down, and the call will be ended politely.
If you are visiting the ISC in person and become abusive towards staff, you will be asked to leave the premises and return only when you have composed yourself.
In any instance involving physical violence, we will not hesitate to contact the police.
If you have an ongoing case with the ISC and any of the above incidents occur, a record will be added to your case file.
Likewise, no client should ever have to experience abuse from ISC staff. If such an incident occurs, you may report it confidentially using the form below.
