Background & Experience
Ustadh Saleha Islam was born and raised in the United Kingdom and has been serving and supporting the Muslim community for over three decades.
She has held senior leadership roles, including CEO and Director positions across several national organisations in the UK, including the Muslim Youth Helpline, a mental health support service. She is also a founding trustee and served as the first female Director in Europe of Muslim Cultural Heritage Centre (Al Manaar Mosque).
Alongside this, she has worked as a social work consultant in senior roles across the NSPCC, the police, the education sector, the National Health Service, and social services.
She is also a safeguarding consultant and has delivered training to imams and madrasa teachers over many years. In addition, she is a trained psychotherapist and Islamic counsellor and coach.
Counselling & Coaching
She provides pre-marital counselling and coaching, supporting individuals and couples in preparing for and strengthening marriage.
Her approach focuses on developing communication, understanding, and emotional awareness, as well as addressing conflict, family dynamics, and boundary-setting. Sessions are conducted within a confidential and supportive environment, grounded in Islamic values.
Consultations are available both in person and online.
